In this section you will find documents which provide advice about evaluating the effectiveness of a MAP. There are (at least) two circumstances in which a church might want to do this:

  1. After producing a first MAP, the church leaders might want to evaluate it before publishing
  2. When the first MAP cycle is drawing to a close, church leaders may want to use a formal evaluation process as part of their review

Exeter Diocese:

Guidelines for assessing whether a Mission Action Plan is robust enough to withstand the scrutiny of Deanery and Archidiaconal Pastoral Committees

York Diocese:

A booklet reviewing the progress made in the first phase of Mission Action Planning in York diocese and outlining future development proposals. The aim is to: encourage a deeper sense of unity in mission, provide greater knowledge of how diocesan leadership can help the Church fulfil its witness and mission and offer fuller support to the local church as it seeks to live out the Gospel
